HI, I’M JENNY
I hope what’s shared here encourages you to hold onto truth in a world that affirms everything but authenticity and vulnerability.
Before taking the time to process my own story, I had no idea of the ways I had picked up false beliefs about myself and God from various experiences in my life and counted them as truth as I tried to make sense of it all. We have a way of doing that. Our stories, with both the good and the hard, can solidify a certain set of beliefs about who we think we are and who we see God as without us even realizing it. It’s in the processing of our lives that we’re able to uncover these perceptions and determine whether they’re true or not. Oftentimes, it can be hard to differentiate the truth from the lies when we get so comfortable with how we’ve made sense of it.
Processing and unfolding our stories and what we’ve been through gives us understanding, freedom, and the courage to keep pressing on. It gives us insight into why we act or respond in certain ways and also how we relate to others and God.
I believe you have a unique story that God is using to bring you closer in relationship with him and to reveal himself to those around you. I also believe he desires for you to live abundantly in truth. This doesn’t mean we won’t experience difficult things in this life, but it can mean that we trust God in the processing of our lives and what he says is true even in the midst of something really hard.
We need God’s truth more than ever, both as we look at where we came from, and as we move forward. We need to be reminded of it when the lies seem so loud. I hope you find that here.
As for my personal life, I’m a wife and a mom from Phoenix who began creating during the Covid pandemic. I don’t have it all figured out. I feel my natural bend to choose my inadequacy over my belief in God’s power everyday. Along with you, I want to fight for truth. Not because it feels or sounds better, but because I believe we desperately need it. We were made and created to live in it, and apart from it we are missing out on the wholeness of God. My hope is that you would be encouraged in who God is, who he has created you to be, and your unique calling in this world through the various things I’ll share here.
Let’s live more out of truth, together.
